Betty Adrian

Director

Betty Adrian is the Core Research Center Director. Betty began her career with the USGS in 1978 as a Geologic Field Assistant. She received her BS in Environmental Studies with a minor in Chemistry at Regis College (Denver, CO) in 1981. She worked as a chemist on the USGS Branch of Exploration Geochemistry from 1978-1993. Betty received a Master of Science in Management (MSM) from Regis University in 1992. Betty has worked as a field assistant collecting samples, was responsible for mobile field laboratories in the 1980’s, was lab chief for several sample preparation and wet chemical laboratories, was Associate Branch Chief of the Branch of Geochemistry, and, most recently was the Associate Team Chief Scientist for Operations for the Central Region Mineral Resources Team as well as the Crustal Imaging and Characterization Team.   Betty can be contacted at 303-202-4851, (FAX 303-202-4856) and by e-mail at badrian@usgs.gov.



Jeannine Honey

Curator

Jeannine Honey is curator in charge of web content, GIS, and database maintenance and development.  Jeannine worked at the CRC from 1991 to 1995 and then re-joined the CRC staff in early 2003.  She received a B.S. in math from Metropolitan State College of Denver and an M.S. in computer science from University of Colorado at Denver.  Before returning to the CRC, Jeannine provided computer support for the USGS Earth Surface Processes team.  She has also worked as a lab technician performing carbon and rock magnetism analyses.  Jeannine can be contacted at 303-202-4851, (FAX 303-202-4856) and by e-mail at jhoney@usgs.gov.



John F. Rhoades

Curator

John Rhoades is curator at the Core Research Center.  John joined the CRC staff in the fall of 2004 and is in charge of core processing, daily operational procedures, the Amstrat cuttings collection, and the CRC thin section collection and photographic archives. He received a B.S. in Geologic Land Use from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 1998.  Before being employed at the CRC, John worked as a Jet Engine Mechanic for the U.S. Navy from 1987 to 1990.  While employed at The National Ice Core Laboratory from 1997 to 2003, John traveled to Antarctica for four seasons utilizing his field abilities to extract ice cores for Global Warming Research.  John can be contacted at 303-202-4851, (FAX 303-202-4856) and by e-mail at jfrhoades@usgs.gov.



Josh Hicks

Student Assistant

Terry Huber

Student Assistant

Richard Nunn

Student Assistant
